Tue, 27 March 2007 With the popularity of The Secret, some coaches are starting to confuse the Law of Attraction with Thomas Leonard's Principles of Attraction. OnCoaching Editor Stephanie Brail takes a critical look at The Secret, its very bizarre origins, and how it could be a detriment to coaching. Then, the Principles of Attraction are explored and contrasted with the Law of Attraction. Your feedback is encouraged. I've listened to both of your reviews of The Secret and I think you're right on.
I also have been disturbed by the Coaching Community promoting The Secret "hook, line & sinker" which is why I wrote my special report "The Secret Recapped & Reviewed by a Hopeful Skeptic." In the report, first I outlined the entire movie to be crystal clear about what it was actually saying (it moves so fast and hypnotically it's hard to get clear about the details). Then I added my own observations about where the movie was "over-reaching" (to put it nicely) and where the movie had some concrete, helpful suggestions for, what I call "Creating Your Own Success." I'd love to hear your thoughts on it, if you get a chance to read it. You can download it for free at http://www.thesecretrecapped.com
Meanwhile, I'm gonna subscribe to your podcast! I love that you are "into the woo-woo" but smart enough to look at it with a critical eye as well.
Feel Good Girl, I think I Love You! (Said to the Tune of 'Wild Thing, I think I love you!) :)
